About this job
Pay range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour. A&H Security is seeking a Certified Security Instructor to lead and facilitate NYS-mandated security training courses, including the 8-Hour Pre-Assignment, 8-Hour Annual, 16-Hour On-the-Job, and Fireguard preparation. The ideal candidate is a current or former licensed security guard with strong knowledge of industry standards, terminology, and New York State requirements. Responsibilities: Conduct training sessions for the 8-hour pre-assignment, 16-hour OJT, and 8-hour annual security courses. Administer and oversee examinations for the 8-hour and 16-hour training modules. Complete and maintain accurate administrative paperwork related to training and certifications. Lead new hire orientation and ensure all trainees understand course materials and requirements. Instruct and issue NARCAN certificates. Instruct, lead, and issue DHS 40-Hour Shelter Training Certificates (in accordance with Local Law 124). Train staff on proper access control duties. Occasional work in the field. Requirements
Security Instructor Development Certification Course (IDC), a 40-hour training. CPR/AED/First Aid certification. NYS Security Guard License. Current or former licensed security guard with strong knowledge of NYS requirements. Education: College Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or High School Diploma / High School Equivalency.
