Terms Of Service

1. The Platform Service

Verifei (the “Company”) operates as a digital technology platform (the “Platform”) connecting California-certified security professionals (“Guards”) with businesses or individuals seeking security services (“Hiring Entities”).

Verifei is NOT a Private Patrol Operator (PPO). We do not provide security services, we do not employ guards, and we do not supervise, direct, or control the performance of any security services.

2. Status of the Parties (AB5 Compliance)

• No Employment Relationship: Nothing in these Terms creates an employer-employee relationship between Verifei and any Guard.
• Independent Classification: Hiring Entities are solely responsible for determining the proper legal classification of Guards (Independent Contractor vs. Employee) under California law.

3. Compliance with California Civil Code § 1812.502

• Fees: Verifei charges fees exclusively to Hiring Entities.
• No Fee to Guards: Under no circumstances shall a Guard be charged a fee or commission to list their profile or find work through Verifei.

4. Guard Credentials & BSIS Compliance

• Certification: All Guards warrant they hold a valid BSIS Security Guard Registration (“Guard Card”).
• Verification: The final “Duty to Verify” the validity of a license at the time of engagement rests solely with the Hiring Entity.

5. SMS Communication & Opt-In Agreement

By providing your mobile phone number and checking the “I Agree” box during registration, you provide Prior Express Written Consent to Verifei to send you automated text messages (SMS/MMS).

• Purpose: Messages include job alerts, account verification codes, platform updates, and compliance reminders.
• Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your profile activity and job availability in your region.
• Standard Disclosures: Message and data rates may apply. * Opt-Out: You may opt-out of SMS communications at any time by replying “STOP” to any message. After texting “STOP,” we will send you one final message to confirm you have been unsubscribed.
• Support: Text “HELP” for assistance or contact support@verifei.com.

6. Data Privacy (CCPA 2026)

Verifei complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

• Guard Consent: You consent to the sharing of your professional credentials and phone number with potential Hiring Entities for the purpose of job placement.
• Data Rights: You maintain the right to access, delete, or opt-out of data sharing by contacting support@verifei.com.

7. Limitation of Liability

Verifei is not liable for disputes, damages, or losses arising from an engagement between a Guard and a Hiring Entity. All security services are performed at the sole risk of the parties involved.
