Verifei (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a digital technology platform connecting California-certified security professionals (“Guards”) with hiring entities (“Employers”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other applicable California laws.

We collect information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you.

• For Guards: Name, contact information (mobile number, email), BSIS Guard Card number, permit status (Firearms/Baton), professional resume, and availability.
• For Employers: Business name, PPO license number (if applicable), contact person details, and job requirements.
• Automated Data: IP address, browser type, and platform usage analytics via our Softr/Airtable tech stack.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to facilitate the “Matchmaking” process, including:

• Verifying BSIS credentials.
• Sending automated job alerts via SMS (Twilio).
• Facilitating introductions between Guards and Employers.
• Complying with California Civil Code § 1812.502 (Employment Agency Act exemptions).

4. SMS Privacy & Data Sharing (Carrier Compliance)

Verifei maintains strict “No-Sharing” policies for mobile data.

• No Sharing for Marketing: Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
• Opt-In Data: All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
• Purpose: SMS data is used strictly for operational job alerts and account security.

5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA 2026)

As a California resident, you have the following rights:

• Right to Know: You may request a list of the personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions (e.g., BSIS audit requirements).
• Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate information in your profile.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: Verifei does not sell your personal information. We only share information with Employers for the specific purpose of connecting you with work opportunities.

6. Data Retention & Security

We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. We implement industry-standard security measures through our infrastructure providers (Airtable/Softr) to protect against unauthorized access or disclosure.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in California law or our platform features. We will notify you of significant changes via the email or mobile number provided in your profile.
